Many art students took their art to the walls this spring! First, two pairs of students in Studio 1 painted murals for the Contemporary Asian Artist project. Next, after the completion of the AP Studio Art portfolio exam, the AP students followed suit.

Drawing and Painting: Group Painting

The Drawing and Painting class recently completed a large group painting. This year, the subject was the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. The students painted with acrylic on wood panel. The challenge: no using black paint!

Design: Conservation Collage

The Design class recently completed a project that synthesized their knowledges of collage, photoshop, and text design. On the theme of Conservation, each student created a collage out of mixed-media. Next, they digitized it and added text to turn the collage into a poster.

Grade 7: Mehendi Hands

The Grade 7 students combined their studies of Indian textile patterns, Mehendi designs, wet-on-wet watercolor techniques, and contour line drawings to create these colorful artworks. The results are fantastic!
